GTT Training, the LNG training provider, said it is expanding the capabilities of its LNG cargo operations simulator.
Used to provide hands-on, real-time training in the processes and procedures that must be followed to undertake and complete any type of LNG cargo related operation, the LNG cargo operations simulator provides full simulation of all the systems on a vessel that are involved in the management and handling of the LNG cargo and maintaining the vessel in a safe condition. The capabilities of the simulator have now been expanded to allow the instructor to be able to select from 16 different configurations of LNG carrier, with the selection being based on tank capacity, containment system and propulsion system, the company said in a statement.
Using accurate mathematical models to provide a very realistic experience for the operator for each of the ship configurations, the simulator is suitable for delivering the full range of courses from detailed problem solving for senior personnel, to basic familiarisation for those just starting in the industry.
