China’s TSC Group, an offshore and onshore drilling equipment provider, and Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (“DSIC”) will cooperate on the DSJ375 jack-up rig project, with a scope including but not limited to its configuration, design and construction.
The DSJ375 is DSIC’s independently designed jack-up rig. The rig will be capable capable of operating in up to 375 feet water depth. Once completed, the DSJ375 will be suitable for a broad range of offshore oil fields, TSC Group said in a statement.
“TSC places strong value in the long term cooperation established with DSIC and believes that the DSJ375 will align well with market demands. TSC looks to share its experiences with DSIC regarding platform configuration, equipment supply, construction and debugging, market channels and a series of production links. Together, TSC and DSIC look to leverage respective strengths and deliver a superior rig to the market,” TSC said in a statement.
