BW LPG said that it has taken delivery of the very large gas carrier Berge Summit.
Berge Summit has been bareboat chartered-in by BW LPG since 2004. BW LPG recently exercised a purchase option of USD 8 million, which became available under the charter, as a result of which BW LPG takes ownership, effective 11 May 2015, the company said in a statement.
Built in 1990 with a capacity of approximately 78,489 cubic metres, the vessel will remain flagged under the Bahamas flag.
The vessel will continue to be a part of the fleet available to service existing and new charter commitments.
