2015 will mark the eighth consecutive year of the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC), on October 13th and 14th, again in the Amsterdam RAI. This year’s diverse and first rate program is coming together nicely.
Given recent developments, the Conference will focus mainly on what the future of the offshore industry will look like and how the latest developments and opportunities can be improved upon efficiently. With our custom-made program for Offshore Energy 2015 we aim to update the industry on the various available possibilities and innovations. The very reason we have chosen the theme Investing in the future of energy.
This year, for example, the development of new and alternative energy sources will again be explored, which could lead to great corporate opportunities. Marine energy, for instance, offers many possibilities worldwide to produce substantial amounts of renewable energy. These developments and the extensive possibilities will be discussed in one of the technical sessions. A new theme during Offshore Energy 2015 is Technical Data Management. In this session, lead by Shell, we will examine how technical data management can lead to better informed business decisions in the offshore oil and gas industry.
We will also welcome HPHT drilling for the first time. This Technical Session will take place on the first Conference day and will look at technology developments in high-pressure, high temperature (HPHT) drilling operations. Operators are investing in this challenging new game – generally seen as offering new potential – as well as in mature areas such as the North Sea.
The program will be completed by interesting subjects such as best practices for well intervention vessels and new vessel designs, the role of technological innovation and new business models as part of cost reductions, and export control and sanctions in oil & gas. Moreover, Decommissioning and Subsea processing are back on the agenda.
Next to the Technical Sessions, OEEC offers three special Keynotes where panels from the industry discuss human resources challenges, oil and gas financials, and the industry as a whole. These Keynotes are free to attend.
