Nova Scotia’s Utility and Review Board has approved a power purchase agreement for tidal array projects slated for construction in 2015.
The power purchase agreement and the developmental feed-in tariffs (FIT) will be granted for the period of 15 years.
The feed-in tariffs span from 37.5 cents per kW/h to 57.5 cents kW/h for tidal arrays with the capacity larger than 500 kW.

Tidal arrays will be located in the Bay of Fundy, at Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy (FORCE) test sites.
