Brazil’s Petrobras reported a net income of R$ 5.3 billion in first quarter of 2015, 1% down on 1Q14.
Operating profit was at R$ 13.3 billion, 76% higher than the first quarter last year.
The company’s natural gas production decreased by 4%, mainly in Peru, due to the disposal of onshore assets, while natural gas sales increased 5% compared to the same period in 2014.
Petrobras imported 5% less LNG due to higher domestic natural gas supply attributable to a higher production.
