Petronet LNG, India’s largest importer of the chilled gas, informed that Kapil Dev Tripathi, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas of India, has been appointed as Chairman and Director on the Board of the company.
The appointment is effective since May 15, the company informed in a filing to the stock exchange.
The appointment follows the former Chairman and Director of the company Board, Saurabh Chandra’s resignation on May 6.
The company recently approved further expansion of its Dahej LNG terminal to 17.5 mtpa encouraged by the growth potential at the facility noting a 102% utilization during the year ended March 31.
