Planet Ocean has signed an exclusive representation agreement with Netherlands-based Radac.
Radac, a Dutch company based in Delft that specializes in level, tide and wave monitoring, has developed the WaveGuide – a radar based system that monitors waves, tide and water levels.
The agreement covers the UK and Ireland.
The system can be installed on a fixed structre such as platform, turbine or jetty. It is a standalone system, which requires no calibration.
Commenting on the agreement, Terry Sloane , Managing Director at Planet Ocean, said: “This remote radar technology complements our existing buoy and pressure based wave height and direction system capability and should be of immediate interest to our customer base.”
Planet Ocean is a privately owned UK-based company that represents manufacturers of oceanographic and scientific instruments and systems.
