Ampelmann, a company focusing on development, construction and lease of offshore access solutions, has been awarded a contract by an oil & gas major operating in the Southern North Sea to provide access solution for its offshore assets.
The Ampelmann A-type system is used for deploying workforce more effectively across offshore facilities, thereby reducing helicopter costs and delivering more cost effective maintenance, the company says.
According to Ampelmann, the contract is for up to one year excluding extensions, and it will cover activities on manned and unmanned assets in the Southern North Sea.
The company says that the contract was signed after the successful trial of the Ampelmann system last year.
