Apply Rig & Modules, a provider of control systems, products and system packages for the petroleum industry on- and offshore, has been awarded a framework contract from Songa Offshore.

The contract is for electrical services and maintenance on all seven of Songa Offshore’s rigs operating on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Apply Rig & Modules said that the contract will start immediately and it has a duration of three years plus two one-year options.

Offshore Energy Today reached out to Apply Rig & Modules seeking more info about the contract with Songa Offshore.

While the company would not speculate on the value of the contract, Apply Rig & Modules Managing Director, Peter Nygaard Andersen , said: “This contract proves us to be competitive in a tough market where restructuring, rationalization and cost reduction are keywords.”

Andersen also added: “Songa Offshore will shortly become one of the biggest players on the Norwegian shelf with their rigs and then it’s nice to be part of it.”
