Baker Hughes: Offshore rigs resist change

Baker Hughes Incorporated has posted Weekly Rig Count reports to its Investor Relations website. The U.S. offshore rig count has stayed the same when compared to last week’s count.

BHI Rig Count: U.S. -6 to 857 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 6 rigs from last week to 857, with oil rigs down 7 to 638, gas rigs up 1 to 218, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 1,014 rigs from last year at 1,871, with oil rigs down 916, gas rigs down 97, and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

The U.S. Offshore rig count is 31, unchanged from last week, and down 26 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada +23 to 192 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is up 23 rigs from last week to 192, with oil rigs up 7 to 98, and gas rigs up 16 to 94.

Canadian Rig Count is down 189 rigs from last year at 381, with oil rigs down 128, and gas rigs down 61.
