MP Craig Mackinlay opened Vattenfall’s newly refurbished site office in Ramsgate on Wednesday in front of staff and contractors.

“Our Operations and Maintenance building is now officially up and running having been refurbished and extended to accommodate more staff. The facilities have also been upgraded with a new drying room for wet gear and auditorium for staff training/meetings and the staff facilities have also been given a new lease of life,” said the company in a statement.

The work has been carried out by a local company, BEC Construction Limited.

Although managed as part of the Kentish Flats Extension project, Vattenfall’s Operations and Maintenance staff will be using the building.

After a grand tour, the project was officially opened by Craig Mackinlay – his second ‘official opening’ engagement in his term as the MP for South Thanet.
