The Basque Energy Agency (Ente Vasco de la Energía; EVE) will financially support demonstration and validation of emerging marine energy technologies with EUR 2.5 million.

Specifically, subsidies will be made available for pilot projects demonstrating and validating full scale, or almost full scale, prototypes of wave energy converters, floating wind platforms, and offshore wind turbines.

Funding also covers prototypes of auxiliary equipment (components), or any such equipment considered as complementary to any of the previously described prototypes.

Devices will be tested offshore and within the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, EVE highlighted.

The deadline for submitting applications for the Aid Programme is December 31, 2015, or when the budget allocated to this effect has been exhausted.
