COSCO delivers flotel Atlantis

Chinese COSCO Nantong Shipyard has delivered a semi-submersible accommodation vessel to Atlantis Offshore Pte Ltd.

According to COSCO, the accommodation rig was named Atlantis.

It will be chartered to Mexico oilfield services company Cotemar, S.A. de C.V., which will use it in connection with service contracts for the country’s state-owned oil company Pemex.

The delivery documents were recently signed between COSCO Nantong Shipyard Co., a subsidiary of COSCO Corporation’s COSCO Shipyard Group, and Atlantis Offshore.

As for the flotel, it measures 91 meters in LOA (length of all), 67 meters in breadth and 27.5 meters in depth. It is of the Gusto MSC Ocean500 design and can accommodate a crew of 750 persons.
