A helicopter with two pilots aboard has reportedly crashed offshore the east coast of India.

According to the country’s media, the helicopter owned by Pawan Hans was conducting a night landing test on an offshore oil installation when it ditched and sank.

The incident happened on Wednesday approximately two miles from the SQL platform in the ONGC-operated Mumbai High oil field, a hundred miles offshore Mumbai, India.

According to Indian Express, both the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard have teamed up in search and rescue efforts for the two missing pilots.

The incident reportedly occurred at 7:30 p.m. local time. There were no other passengers in the aircraft.
