Maersk Training Opens New Course for Young Wind Technicians

Maersk Training in Newcastle has launched a new Fundamental Skills for Offshore Wind Technicians course that is specifically designed for 16 to 18-year-olds looking for an insight into the wind turbine industry. Maersk Training will be hosting this six week course at its facilities in North Shields.

Maersk Training in Newcastle has launched a new Fundamental Skills for Offshore Wind Technicians course that is specifically designed for 16 to 18-year-olds looking for an insight into the wind turbine industry.

Maersk Training will be hosting this six week course at its facilities in North Shields. Along with learning about the industry essentials, mandatory skills and knowledge of safety, the course will also provide young recipients with practical career advice and guidance for the future.

Advanced First Aid, Sea Survival, Working at Heights and Hub Rescue are just some of the modules included in the course, which offers both theoretical and practical skillsets to the delegates through hands-on experience and observational learning.

The final qualification delivers relevant certification; key skills and a knowledge required for employment in the industry; alongside useful employability skills with dedicated employer engagement opportunities.
