Two Noble rigs see off-rate time

Two Noble Corporation’s drilling rigs have experienced operational downtime with zero dayrate in the fourth quarter of 2015 due to maintenance and inspection.

According to Noble’s latest fleet status report issued on Thursday, Noble Bully I drillship experienced 13 days of operational downtime at zero dayrate for thruster maintenance in the fourth quarter of 2015. The operational downtime was previously expected to be more or less than 45 days.

The 2011-built drillship is under a contract with Shell from late March 2012 until mid-March 2017. It operates in the Gulf of Mexico with a dayrate of $494,000.

Furthermore, Noble Roger Lewis jack-up drilling rig experienced 51 days of operational downtime at zero dayrate for regulatory inspection and maintenance in the 4Q 2015. The downtime was previously expected to last for more or less than 30 days.

The 2007-built jack-up rig is under a contract with Saudi Aramco from early January 2015 till early January 2016. The rig operates in Saudi Arabia with a dayrate of $169,000.
