Italy’s OLT Offshore LNG Toscana closed its tender for the peak shaving service of its FSRU Toscana launched on October 19.
Snam Rete Gas will be delivered a 72,000 cbm LNG cargo to the FSRU Toscana located about 22 km off the coast between Livorno and Pisa, OLT said in a statement on Friday.
The winner of the tender has not been revealed by the company.
According to the initial tender documentation, the cargo will be delivered during December, and will be supplied to SRG upon the company’s request in the period between January 1 and March 31, 2016.
The peak shaving service is one of the emergency measures established by the Decree of the Ministry of the Economic Development to face unfavorable events for the national gas system, which could occur during the winter period and to guarantee the security of the Italian gas system.
