Complete Site Safety, a Liverpool-based Health and Safety training company, has launched a new, advanced first aid course designed for offshore workers.

The Clinical Observation & Medical Assessment, or COMA course, is designed for those industries which do not have immediate access to emergency aid in the event of an accident.

The course is aimed at people who work in environments such as the offshore renewable energy industry and it focuses the monitoring of casualties immediately after an accident and the provision of pre-hospital care.

The modules include: Casualty Management; Awareness of Medical Emergency Drugs; Baseline Observations; Autonomy; Ballistic Trauma Control; Contaminates; and Treatment Plans Communication Protocols.
