Gazprom Export to begin gas auction for Baltic States

Gazprom Export recently informed it will start its second gas auction offering more than 560 mcm of gas for the Baltic States.

Gazprom Export recently informed it will start its second gas auction offering more than 560 mcm of gas for the Baltic States.

The company informed in its statement the auction is scheduled for the middle of March 2016.

The gas sold at the auction will be delivered in the second, third and the fourth quarter of 2016 to the delivery point at Kotlovka gas metering station at the border of Belarus and Lithuania.

Gazprom Export will additionally offer volumes in the Inčukalns underground gas storage in Latvia.

The first auction was held in September when gas was set for the delivery period winter 2015/2016. Gazprom Export closed deals with 15 clients with volumes totaling over 1.2 bcm.
