Klaipedos Nafta LNG revenue up in Jan-Feb

Klaipedos Nafta, the operator of the Lithuanian LNG terminal at the port of Klaipeda, said its revenue from the terminal for the January-February period reached €11.7 million.

Klaipedos Nafta, the operator of the Lithuanian LNG terminal at the port of Klaipeda, said its revenue from the terminal for the January-February period reached €11.7 million.

The company said in its statement on Monday, that this is a rise of 8.3 percent compared to the same period in 2015, when company’s revenue was €10.8 million.

February revenue from the FSRU Independence, serving as Lithuania’s LNG import terminal was at €5.9 million, 9.3 percent up on the same month last year.

Regasification volumes at the terminal soared in February and January-February period, the company said in its report.

During February alone, Klaipedos Nafta regasified 1,7 million MWh and supplied it to the natural gas transmission system, which is a 352 percent rise compared to the same month in 2015 when the company regasified 377,000 MWh.

In January-February period, Klaipedos Nafta regasified 2.78 million MWh of natural gas and supplied it to the gas transmission network, a rise of 215 percent, compared to the 881,000 MWh in the same period a year before.

Klaipedos Nafta noted that the regasification growth is due to terminal’s new users, Achema and Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas.
