Fluxys Belgium, the operator of the Zeebrugge LNG terminal, on Wednesday said its 2015 net profit reached €49.3 million, compared to €47.8 million in 2014.
Operating revenue totalled €538,007 in 2015, down from €554,957 in 2014, Fluxys Belgium’s statement reveals.
Fluxys Belgium noted that during 2015 there were 41 ship unloading operations, 28 ship loading operation and 1,184 truck loading at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal.
The majority of the ship loading operations were in the small-scale LNG segment, and the company added that a test conducted in 2015 shows interest for additional loading options for small LNG ships. Fluxys Belgium started a preliminary study on the infrastructure expansions.
The construction of the second jetty where the smallest LNG vessels will be able to berth is nearing completion and it is scheduled for commissioning during the year.
