UK’s BOC, a part of the Linde Group on Monday said it will install an LNG refueling unit at Exelby’s Golden Fleece Service station south of Carlisle in Cumbria.

According to BOC, this will be its first LNG fueling unit on an existing station and the company’s first fully public access unit.

Exelby Services, an independent bunkering supplier , handles over 140 million liters of diesel each year and the addition of LNG fueling represents the company’s step towards the low-carbon fuel market, the statement said.

BOC’s LNG business manager, Mark Lowe added that the agreement with Exelby to install the liquefied natural gas refueling unit is the first part of the company’s plan to expand its LNG fueling network in the UK.
