Australia’s LNG limited on Monday informed it has named Gregory M. Vesey, formerly of Chevron, as its new managing director and CEO based in Houston, Texas, effective April 4, 2016.
Maurice Brand, the founder of LNG Limited and company’s former managing director and CEO will continue as an executive director until he retires on June 2017, LNG Limited’s statement reads.
Vesey joins LNG Limited from Chevron where he most recently was responsible for Global Gas marketing and trading activity including LNG development work.
In his 35 years at Chevron, he held senior executive roles in the international energy sector and was president of Chevron Natural Gas & vice president Gas Supply and Trading from 2011 to 2015 where he was responsible for Chevron’s global LNG, natural gas, and natural gas liquids marketing and trading activity.
He also served as chairman of the board of the Natural Gas Supply Association of America for the last two years of his four-year term.
