Vroon has taken delivery of the second 68-meter subsea support vessel (SSV) ‘VOS Star’.

The vessel was handed over to the company in a ceremony held at Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding in China on Wednesday April 13, 2016.

VOS Star, is the second of the two newbuild SSVs that have been constructed at Fujian. Its sister vessel, VOS Sugar, was delivered to Vroon earlier this year and will be christened in a ceremony to be held later this week in IJmuiden, the Netherlands.

VOS Star left the shipyard on Sunday April 17, and started its journey to the North Sea for further outfitting.

The vessel will be operated by Vroon Offshore Services Den Helder.
