Qatar’s Nakilat, the world’s largest LNG shipper, said its net profit rose by 7.9% percent in the first quarter as compared to the same period last year.
Nakilat posted a net profit of 240 million riyals (US$66m) for the first quarter, compared to 222 million riyals in 2015.
The increase in the company’s profits reflects the “ strong growth of Nakilat’s operating activities in transporting LNG, and better performance of its LPG vessels,” Nakilat said on Tuesday .
Nakilat’s total revenue of 906 million riyals rose by 3.7% as compared to the same period a year before.
