MG3, a provider of geoscience solutions, has purchased the DP2 vessel MV Ocean Spirit (formerly MV Highland Spirit) to expand its services to the marine geoscience and ROV survey industry.
The company said that the multipurpose DP2 vessel will enable it to provide clients with a modern cost-effective and integrated and flexible solutions for geophysical site surveys, environmental and geotechnical borehole site investigations together with ROV capabilities.
MG3 is immediately implementing upgrades to the vessel and equipment spread, with works scheduled to be completed before the end of this month.
The vessel will be able to provide a range of services to the offshore industry in the Oil & Gas, Renewables, telecommincations and port authorities/dredging/infrastructure sectors, MG3 said.
