As we like to put a spotlight on the newbuilds in our spotted articles, in today’s feature we bring you the freshly delivered tanker to Latvian Shipping Company’s subsidiary LSC Shipmanagement, the Elandra Oak.
The 49,999 dwt vessel, boasting a length of 183 meters and a width of 32 meters, forms part of a batch of three newbuilds being added to the company’s technical management.
It will be used for transportation of oil and chemical substances, according to the company.
The first of the three ships, Elandra Spruce, was received on January 11 and the second one, Elandra Palm , on April 8 this year.
All of the three tankers were built by South Korean shipbuilder SSP Shipbuilding.
“LSCSM is adding a third vessel to the fleet under its technical management this year, which is a proof of not only how highly the company is evaluated among ship technical manager companies worldwide, but also especially highlights the high professionalism of our crew and ship management teams. The addition to the fleet is an important event, as it allows the company to increase its number of workplaces both ashore and onboard,” Chairman of the Management Board of LSC Robert Kirkup comments.
The vessel’s AIS data show it is currently anchored in North China.
