Chinese companies could be investing in Iranian mini-LNG plants construction, Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Exports Company (NIGEC) Alireza Kameli said recently.
Kameli added that the ground is ready for the investment by Chinese companies in Iranian mini-LNG plants, as the country looks to diversify its gas export options.
A statement by the National Iranian Gas Company shows that Iran is looking to build medium-sized LNG and CNG facilities and could benefit from the experience Chinese companies have in that sector.
Kameli further said medium and long-term contracts could be signed with Chinese companies while Iran would provide petrochemical feedstock.
