An oil industry trade organization, Industry Technology Facilitator (ITF), has welcomed Dassault Systèmes, a 3D design software and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions company, as a new member.
According to ITF’s press release on Monday, Dassault Systèmes saw an opportunity to transfer solution experiences into oil and gas from other industries, such as aerospace and automotive, to help the industry “transform its cost base and supply chain, and support sustainable growth”.
The organization noted that the French-based company with 14,000 employees offers solutions to a wide range of industries including oil and gas, providing a range of scientific solutions.
ITF’s members are oil and gas operators and service companies that have founded more than 200 global joint industry projects. The members collaborate in order to bring forth the latest technologies which will address challenges occurring in the oil and gas industry today, ITF explained.
