Navikon has mobilised MPI Enterprise for the Nordergründe offshore wind project on behalf of Bilfinger Marine & Offshore System GmbH.
The company informed that it won a contract in April 2016, under which it equipped the installation vessel with seafastening, foundations and assemblies for transportation of components to the Nordergründe construction site.
Navikon conducted all preparation works on/below deck (insulation removal and coating systems, scaffoldings), lifting and final assembly on deck, including compensation with shim plates, measurements, and NDT. The company also arranged the working area for mobilisation at the port of Bremenhaven, consisting of power supply, media connections, weather protection, construction site equipment and tools.
The mobilisation was carried out within 14 days.
Bilfinger Marine & Offshore Systems is in charge of the foundation installation, which started this month and is scheduled to be completed in fall 2016.
