The Chinese Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard has received an order for two 1,100 TEU feeder vessels from the US-based transporter Tropical Shipping.
The two vessels are expected to join their new owner in July and September 2017, respectively, according to data provided by VesselsValue.
The parties did not disclose the contract price for the two ships.
Featuring 9,900 gross tons, the 13,000 dwt feeders will have an estimated 4,852 light displacement.
Based on New-Ships data, the order also includes two 5,000 dwt boxships, which are scheduled for delivery in October and December 2017.
Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard currently has 24 newbuildings on order, ranging from 4,100 dwt to 64,000 dwt, VesselsValue data shows.
The shipbuilder is expected to deliver the vessels to their respective owners from June 2016 to December 2017.
