With the offshore wind industry usually meeting at workshops, seminars, conferences and other similar events, Seajacks, the owner and operator of offshore wind installation vessels, has set up a more laid-back atmosphere by organising 2016 Offshore Wind Golf Tournament.

Offshore wind industry players will meet on 20 June at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Cheshire, the day before RenewableUK’s Global Offshore Wind Event in Manchester.

Format will be 18 holes of Texas Scramble, with teams being drawn at random. For non-golfers who would like to try out golf and join for the networking, Seajacks has arranged for a 2-hour group lesson with a PGA qualified professional, with all equipment provided.

Prizes have been arranged for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive, with an additional Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference (OEEC) Champagne Prize for the Most Promising Non-Golfer.

Sponsors of the event are 3sun, MPI Offshore and HighWind.
