NDE Offshore AB has recently been awarded a contract by Siemens to conduct periodic inspections of the helidecks on three offshore HVDC platforms in the North Sea.

The grid connections are owned by German-Dutch transmission grid operator TenneT.

Already completed is the Helwin1 platform, where inspections were carried out in April. At the end of May the inspections at SylWin1 were completed.

For BorWin2 the work is scheduled to start at the beginning of July.

Dan Marks, Offshore Operations Manager at NDE Offshore AB, said: ”It gives us great satisfaction when a client of Siemens’ magnitude, trusts us to perform yet another project utilizing our genuine and thorough expertise offshore.”
