State-owned Petrobras started a competitive process to sell its LPG distribution unit, Liquigás Distribuidora.

According to a company statement, Liquigás has 23 operating centers, 19 deposits, one storage and road-rail loading base and a network that supplies 23 percent of the Brazilian market.

Petrobras said Wednesday that no agreement confirming that the transaction has been completed has yet been signed.

Only last week, the company has put up two of its LNG terminals for sale , the 7 million cubic meters of natural gas Pecém LNG import terminal and the 22.5 million cubic meters per day Guanabara Bay LNG import terminal in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
