Vroon’s new DP2 subsea-support walk-to-work (W2W) vessel, VOS Stone, was launched last weekend at Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. in China.
VOS Stone, as well as her sister vessel VOS Start, can carry a total of 87 persons, offering accommodation and work space for up to 60 personnel. The vessels can be fitted with a W2W system and offshore crane to enable operations on wind turbines, substations, as well as to provide mothership duties for crew-transfer vessels (CTV).
The two vessels, to be operated by Vroon Offshore Services, are scheduled for delivery to the company later this year.
