France’s Elengy , a unit of Engie , said that its Fos Tonkin terminal located on the shores of the Mediterranean has doubled its LNG truck loading capacity.
Fos Tonkin, which performed its first truck loading operation in 2014, is now able to fill up to 8 trucks per day or 2200 trucks per year with the chilled fuel, Elengy said in a statement on Monday.
According to Elengy, with this upgrade, the company’s three LNG terminals are able to load almost 6000 trucks per year.
To remind, Elengy recently said it is mulling the construction of a new LNG truck loading station at its Montoir-de-Bretagne terminal on the French Atlantic coast.
The new facility, that would be operational by winter 2017, would at least double the current capacity of 70 loading operations per week, depending on its configuration.
Elengy currently has 19 million tons per annum of natural gas regasification capacity and 840,000 cbm of LNG storage capacity at its three terminals, according to its website.
