France’s gas and oil giant Total said it has appointed a new chief to lead its newly created Gas, Renewables and Power branch.
Total appointed Philippe Sauquet , currently President, Refining & Chemicals and member of Total’s Executive Committee, as President of the unit effective September 1.
Sauquet is also appointed Executive Vice President, Strategy & Innovation and member of Total’s Executive Committee, French energy giant said on Monday.
Total announced the creation the Gas, Renewables and Power unit in April as part of its new organization plan as the company looks to prepare for the medium and long-term challenges.
