Australian LNG player Santos informed its chief financial officer Andrew Seaton will retire from the company by the end of 2016.

Seaton, who spent 11 years with Santos, last six of which he served as CFO, will remain with the company until the end of the year to ensure the transition of his key responsibilities, the company said in a statement.

He joined Santos in 2005 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2010. With more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Seaton held senior positions in investment banking where he worked on a broad range of mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.

Santos added that an executive search for Seaton’s successor has already started.
