Two of Vroon’s newbuild platform supply vessels (PSVs) have left Fujian Southeast Shipyard in China at the start of their maiden voyages.
Vroon said on Tuesday that new PSVs, the VOS Princess and VOS Principle, left the shipyard on July 16 and July 23.
The Khiam Chuan Marine (KCM) design, 80m platform supply vessels are part of a series of eight being built at the shipyard for Vroon.
Vessels are equipped with full (under-deck) supply capabilities that include stainless-steel tanks for the carriage of methanol. The PSVs provide accommodation and workspace for a total complement of 52 persons (client staff and up to 14 crew members). The KCM designed concept of the vessel provides free deck space of 750 sqm.
The company said that KCM, Vroon’s Newbuilding Performance & Engineering Department, KER Yacht Design & Engineering, and Force Technology in Copenhagen worked together in order to optimize the design.
Both vessels will be managed by Vroon Offshore Services.
