Sakhalin Energy, the operator of Russia’s only LNG plant, has reportedly launched a tender to sell four cargoes of the chilled fuel from the export terminal on Sakhalin Island.
Three of the LNG cargoes will be loading in September and one in October, Reuters reported citing trade sources as saying.

The Sakhalin-2 LNG facility has currently two liquefaction trains with a capacity of about 10 million tons per annum. The LNG plant is operated by Russian gas giant Gazprom with major shareholder Royal Dutch Shell.
Worth mentioning, Sakhalin Energy issued a tender in June for detailed design, procurement and construction of a third LNG train, third LNG tank, and a new jetty.
The contract is expected to be awarded in March of 2018.
