Singapore’s Keppel Offshore & Marine is set to deliver an anchor handling tug to its client Seaways International.
According to Keppel, the vessel was named Seaways 24 at a ceremony held on Monday, August 8. The ceremony was held at the Keppel Singmarine’s yard. Keppel Singmarine, which built the Seaways 24, is a subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine.
Specs-wise, the Seaways 24, fifth of the kind delivered by Keppel to Seaways, has been described as a multi-task anchor handling tug that is “designed to carry out an array of offshore activities.”
The vessel is equipped with Class 1 and 2 fire-fighting capabilities, Class 1 oil recovery capabilities, and comes with a designed bollard pull of 120 tonnes.
