Edwards Diving Services (EDS) has recently purchased VideoRay Pro 4 Plus BASE remotely operated vehicle (ROV) system from Atlantas Marine.

Atlantas Marine service manager, Mike Underwood, also delivered training to EDS’ team at Vobster Quay Inland Dive Centre.

The Pro 4 system delivered by Atlantas Marine is equipped with the Teledyne BlueView V series 2D imaging sonar. It is suitable for underwater detection and identification tasks in low or zero visibility conditions, providing both mid-range detection and close-range identification capabilities from moving or stationary platforms, the company explained.

Paul Edwards, EDS managing director, said: “We are delighted with the latest addition to our specialist equipment fleet, a ROV complete with sonar and manipulator arm. This innovative technology will greatly enhance our capability for subsurface inspection, surveys and even certain types of recovery, expanding our services and providing improved capability for our clients”
