Belgium’s Fluxys on Wednesday said that its liquefied natural gas terminal in the port of Zeebrugge has reloaded more cargoes of the chilled fuel in the first half of this year as compared to the same period a year ago.
The Zeebrugge terminal shipped 16 cargoes of previously imported LNG in January-June as compared to 14 in the corresponding period, according to an infographic posted by Fluxys on its social media channels.
Zeebrugge received in total 16 cargoes of chilled gas in the first half of this year, 9 cargoes less then in the same period in 2015, Fluxys said.
The best performance was recorded in the truck loading business with 771 truck loadings taking place at the Zeebrugge terminal in the first half, as compared to 556 in the first six months year before.
Fluxys is currently expanding the terminal with the addition of a second jetty and fifth storage tank.
The second jetty is expected to be operational this year with the fifth tank scheduled to start operations by late 2018, according to Fluxys.
