Nicon Industries has secured an order for fabrication and installation of seafastening structures for Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s jack-up vessel Bold Tern, which will install wind turbines at the Veja Mate offshore wind farm.

Under the contract, Nicon will manufacture over 600 tonnes of steel structures.

Production Manager at Nicon Industries, Henrik R. Jensen said: “We are very proud that we have won this large order in tough competition with other reputable manufacturers. It is for us, a cementing of the good and longstanding relationship we have with Fred. Olsen Windcarrier. At the same time, it highlights our unique ability to solve large and complex projects in a short time.”

The 402MW Veja Mate offshore wind farm is located in the North Sea, approximately 95km north-west of German island of Borkum, within an area with strong and steady winds.
