Yesterday, the Nobelwind (Belwind 2/Bligh Bank Phase 2) substation started its journey towards the North Sea where it will be a installed at the wind farm off the coast of Belgium.
During the weekend, Bladt Industries loaded out the 1,100-tonne offshore substation at its production facilities in Aalborg.
The installation of the offshore substation is set to take place mid-September.
Construction of the substation started in May 2015 and, with Bladt Industries responsible for the construction of steel, as well as the design, fabrication, commissioning and installation of the substation.
The company has been collaborating with Semco Maritime and ISC throughout the design process, onshore construction, as well as offshore commissioning of electrics and technical systems.
