Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs said it has completed the engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) project for Skangas ’ Pori LNG import terminal.
The LNG terminal of 30 000-cbm at Pori is fully equipped for unloading ships, storing LNG, ship bunkering, truck loading by LNG as well as for the distribution of regasified LNG by pipeline to an industrial park, the company said in its statement.
Pori LNG terminal received the first commissioning cargo in July 2016 aboard the Skangas-chartered Coral Energy.
Gasum, Skangas parent company, through its social media, informed that the terminal is set to begin commercial operation on Monday.
The terminal is built to diversify Finland’s energy market and enable deliveries to industrial operators outside gas pipeline network as well as for maritime and heavy-duty road transport, Gasum said.
The project’s total investment amounts to €81 million. The LNG terminal project was supported with €23 million granted by the Finnish Ministry for Employment and the Economy.
