Kogas Aug sales rise 5.6 pct

South Korea’s Kogas, the world’s second-largest buyer of LNG, said its sales volume rose 5.6 percent in August as compared to the corresponding month a year ago. South Korea’s Kogas, the world’s second-largest buyer of LNG, said its sales volume rose 5.6 percent in August as compared to the corresponding month a year ago.

Kogas sold 2.20 million mt of LNG in August, compared to 2.08 million mt in August last year, it said in a filing to the stock exchange.

Sales into the power sector were at 1.39 million mt, a rise of 10.4 percent as compared to 2015.

City gas sales dropped by 1.5 percent to 805,000mt, Kogas said.
