In today’s spotted we bring you an image of MV Symphony Performer (Nb. 433), the first in a series of two long range supply vessels being built by Dutch shipbuilder Ferus Smit for its compatriot shipping company Symphony Shipping.
According to Ferus Smit, the ship will be launched at its shipyard in Leer, Germany, on October 14, 2016.
To be christened as Symphony Performer, the vessel is equipped with a DP2 (Dynamic Positioning) system which keeps the vessel within specified positions and heading limits.
Featuring a length of 122.5 meters and a width of 17 meters, the vessel has a large single hold of completely box-shaped form.
The Symphony Performer also has a large loading floor area for project cargoes, including movable tweendeck.
Furthermore, the newbuilding’s deckhouse is placed on foreship for better protection of deck cargo and enabling to load oversized items over the stern.
The 7,000 gross ton Symphony Performer is scheduled for delivery in December this year, according to Symphony Shipping’s data.
The second long range supply vessel, MV Symphony Provider, will join the company’s fleet in April 2017.
Symphony Shipping’s fleet is currently comprised of four multi-purpose vessels. In addition, the company has two multipurpose vessels on order that are slated for delivery in October 2017 and January 2018. In 2013, the company ordered the six multipurpose vessels from Ferus Smit.
