Total gas sales by Japan’s Tokyo Gas reached 1,216.46 million cubic meters in August, only 0.4 percent below the level reached in the same month in 2015.
In the residential sector, volume totaled 138.33 million cubic meters, up 5.9 percent from August 2015, while in the business sector volume totaled 254.545 million cubic meters, down 1.6 percent compared to August 2015, Tokyo Gas shows in its monthly report.
Volumes in the industrial sector remained almost even reaching 654.001 million cubic meters only 0.8 percent in comparison to August 2015.
Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 169.584 million cubic meters, down 7.6 percent from August 2015.
